Happiness
by Aminatta Forna
A very mature, calm, and quite interesting story - it's not something I could let go easily, although, at a first glance, one wouldn't know what it's captivating about Aminatta Forna's style. Maybe because it flows easily, it doesn't make matters complicated, and has a great eye for capturing details - which seem they happen in front of your eyes. I liked how Attila and Jean were contoured as characters, nevertheless, I felt something is missing, but I'm not sure exactly what. I did enjoy it, though, and it was a pleasant read - maybe it was worth exploring a bit more the drama-prejudice-trauma concept, which was more visible towards the end. But really, I liked it a lot.
