While I'm not usually big into pregnancy stories, I picked this up on a whim because of the good reviews and the very pretty cover. And it made for a charming read. The main characters are perfectly lovable, there's some realistic layering in the story itself going on and while it's a happy-ever-after, it's a different kind of format than maybe assumed* (spoiler below). The writing is fluid, quite fast-paced, humor sprinkled in. The only criticism I have is that the Eve-Willa relationship was underdeveloped, particularly the consequences of Eve's pregnancy on Willa and their relationship. While mentioned early on, seemingly being a major issue, it only got a few brief mentions - more could've probably been done with that.

* Spoiler:

I certainly very much appreciated that Ethan didn't one day show up serenading Eve and randomly professing his undying love out of nowhere. So thank you Cara for not going with that tired trope.
