Until Next Time by Claudia Burgoa

I have been dying to read this book since the moment I realized it would be a brother's best friend trope (it's one of my favorite). I have also been very curious about it. The moment I met the Brassard family I fell in love with them. But I never liked Calliope Brassard. The little tastes of her we got put a very bad taste in my mouth. So when we learned that she got married than died I wanted to know the guy who would love her enough to marry her. And please forgive me for saying this because I believe everyone needs a shot at redemption but I never liked how, even in death, she left her family with so much pain. I think Ford said it best when he said

"I never met Callie, but I watched her being a ***** to my wife and her family. She wasn't a nice person."

So watching Zach suffer from so much pain and guilt was hard. That man deserved his happiness. He was an amazing man who did so much for not only his family but for people who needed help. I also have to say I fell in love with the St. James family and cannot wait to learn more about them!

Then we have Autumn and her daughter Matilda. I will start out by saying you will fall in love with Matilda the moment you meet her. She's an adorable child with an old soul who will not only make you smile but also laugh. Autumn is this amazing single mom just struggling to make each day matter. She's another broken soul who can't get a break until her daughter tries to take matters into her own hands. But I'm sure you can guess how that worked out.

I have to admit my biggest struggle with this book was that time kept passing and Autumn and Zach still hadn't been brought together. It took FOREVER! But I just couldn't let that get to me because I knew once they got together they would be so perfect. These two connected on so many levels. They each suffered a tragic death yet those deaths helped bond them. They helped mend each others hearts and fell in love at the same time. Their HEA made me so happy. Plus not only did I get to meet a new family to love but I got to see a few of my past favorites.

I'm so glad I met Zach, Autumn, and Matilda. Now I'm looking forward to seeing more of them in future stories to come!
