Kim Jiyoung, Born 1982 by Cho Nam-joo

informative inspiring reflective tense fast-paced

5.0

unlike others I wasn’t really bothered with the way it’s written (or translated in english?), the use of language is simple yet moving and now I could tell why people (mostly men ofc) are mad. jiyoung is an entirely fictional character but there wasn’t a single scenario in jiyoung’s life experiences from even before birth to after-marriage of misogyny, sexism, patriarchal system, effect of guilt-tripping about sexual harassment, etc. that couldn’t demonstrate the purpose of her story. the delivery of the message left a huge impact on me that’s it
