I honestly didn’t expect The Never King to be this spicy. I knew it was a dark fantasy retelling of Peter Pan and Wendy, but wow—it really leaned into the smutty side. It’s a completely different take, and honestly, I enjoyed it. I think because I’m more into dark fantasy now, the vibe didn’t bother me.
It’s not your typical romance though. There’s more lust and tension than actual love, which was interesting to read. If you’re looking for lovey-dovey romance, this might not be for you. It is a very fast read for me as well. And if you’re into dark fantasy and spicy reads, definitely give it a shot. I’m curious to see how the story grows in the next books!
