Made me very uncomfortable, A+

I read this when I was 14 in grade 8, and though the writing wasn't groundbreaking, I still think about it to this day. It sticks in my mind as a "what not to do" type of thing.

I'm not super fond of how the relationship is portrayed as romance and not just inherently predatory, which it is, but I get it portraying as "romantic" from Bea's point-of-view. It's that sort of illicit thrill when you sneak a cookie after your mom told you not to.

Even if this book did not change my life, it sure made an impression on younger me. It's not my usual fare nowadays, but I think I might re-read it. Even just to remind me that, yeah, that teacher may be hot, but they're an adult person who should have no interest in a teenager, let-alone their student.
