The Complete Poems of Emily Dickinson by Emily Dickinson – She is my favorite female American poet because I am an English major and if I qualify everything I can have more favorites. They make kids read her in high school because she is incredible in such a short span of pages that you might actually get high schoolers to like poetry! I’m of the opinion that her poetry is better for never being published. The stuff I write only for myself is more honest. And if nothing else, this curious lady’s voice is always honest.
