Bright Lines by Tanwi Nandini Islam

I wouldn't have picked up this book if it were not for my book club, and to be honest, I'm not sure if I would have finished it without that motivation either. This book is a quiet story of one family over the course of the year, and how their truths are revealed to themselves and to each other. The plotline is minimal, and twists - that you'd anticipate to be plot twists - are not followed up. Revelations are unsurprising, and overall I felt the story to be weak. I think this book had potential, but it just didn't deliver. Interested to see what the other members of my book club will say
