This was yet another amazing addition to this infamous series. In this volume we follow various characters, including Dream, as they finally pick up the pieces left from his prolonged imprisonment. While Dream is gaining his stride in reigning in his wayward kingdom, trouble rears itself on the horizon as prominent dreams are found to be missing along with the appearance of a so called "vortex". What especially stands out to me while reading this book, besides the fantastic story telling, is how Gaiman starts to really fleshing out the world and history of the Endless, especially concerning Dream. I also appreciated the prevalent sense of horror and suspense that lurked in the background as I read along, keeping me on the edge of my seat to see what would happen next.
