I was apprehensive when it came to reading this book. I've, of course, read the others in the series and had never understood the obsession people had for Cassian and Nesta as a couple. I hated Nesta, was fully Team Rhys in terms of my opinion of her. So when I heard this book was from her perspective, I groaned. But I have to say, SJM did a fantastic job of characterizing Nesta. It's the mark of a good writer to start your readers in hatred and end them in admiration and love for a character. She had me when Part 3 was titled, "Valkyrie." Women empowerment gets me every time.
