A Dance with Dragons 1: Dreams and Dust by George R.R. Martin

5.0

waaaay better than affc
there wasn't a single bad or boring chapter I fcking devored this book and I'm going to read the last one as soon as I'm done with this short review
I absolutely adored Jon, god...I missed him deeply during affc...he's my favorite character BY FAR he's so compassionate but not completely naive (hello tv Jon...sigh), he's strategic and pls I love his dry humor!! Also, his relationship with Stannis??? AMAZING I swear I love their dynamic and the parallelisms between them (also...book stannis?? I love him)
I loved Melisandre's chapter and how compassionate she is about Davos and his son
Tyrion's chapters were entertaining and I'm so glad we got to know young griff (or should I call him Aegon??) I love him so much he's precious even if he's a bit naive and got played by Tyrion (although...so did I..Tyrion played us both at the same time...I truly believe he was giving genuine advice to Aegon and I would have trusted him just the same as Aegon did....damn I wouldn't last a day in this world lmao)
Also, this book confirmed the fact that Dany is a bad ruler....she's young but I don't think it's only about that..Jon is just as young and he's so much better than her
Reek's chapters were really frustrating I was aching for him to just kill Ramsay (especially during his last chapter with Jeyne) but sigh I can't be mad at him, poor boy suffers from too much trauma...Ramsay is a piece of sh*t..Really hope he dies soon

""Princess Elia was a good woman. I know the prince was very fond of her." Fond, thought Dany. The word spoke volumes" Rhaegar didn't love Elia and I'm pretty sure he was genuinely in love with Lyanna, it wasn't all about the prophecy.
