Regal theaters is showing all the Harry Potter movies and I got so excited I decided to reread all the books. I haven’t read them in about ten years. I still find them clever, funny, charming, and surprising.
It feels a bit funny to know the Harry Potter world and people so intimately and yet to be back at the very beginning before none of us knew how spectacular the whole thing was. I love seeing the way the friendship develops between Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Hagrid, and the way Harry grows from an abused child to someone happy and self-confident.
I still love these books and always will.
