Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer
2.0
Nostalgic of my teens but otherwise poorly written, cliche at times, riddled with continuity errors just so Meyer can keep the focus on this good Mormon couple and their happily ever after.
The most unsettling part is how from birth this half-immortal child (as if one can be half immortal lmao) is imprinted on by an adult man. Somehow everyone is just okay with Jacob grooming and eventually having a relationship with this girl. And with this stupid ‘wolf’ marking system she has no choice in the matter. Meyer has only done this to finally end the awkward love triangle between the main characters. And the child is a victim of her poor writing.
It sends a bad message to kids about what love looks like and romanticised many toxic relationships
