Yellowface
by R.F. Kuang
Yellowface felt like a dramatic TV show or movie that you just can’t look away from. I found myself cringing at the main character’s choices throughout the book, which made it all the more gripping. It’s one of those reads that’s hard to put down because you’re constantly wondering what mess they’ll get into next. Beyond the drama, though, the book really dives into the serious issue of cultural appropriation, which adds a lot of depth and makes you think long after finishing.
