Read this with my 1st and 3rd grader. They really found it hilarious. It was dog man silly, but nothing really inappropriate. Just super wacky creative with turning a cat into a catnary (cat turned canary) and sea monkeys becoming a villainous mermaid/sea monster, a flying super finger, a gorilla attacking them for a supersized banana, just all the crazy stuff from a wild imagination put into a story under the main mission of Andy and Terry (the author and illustrator) trying to write a book. Oh they also live in a 13 story treehouse of a kids dreams with no adults in sight. Except the mailman. lol.
They want to read more! A friendly transition from graphic novels bc it’s fully illustrated but written in novel/chapter format.
