The Captain's Daughter by Alexander Pushkin

5.0

“I felt as if I were her knight; I thirsted to prove to her that I was worthy of her trust.”

This was so extremely incredibly completely amazingly wonderful. It’s like getting punched in the face with dopamine. And a Russian classic with a happy ending (let’s ignore the things that happened in between…)? Color me pleasantly surprised.

Also I’m obsessed with Pushkin’s writing. ✍️
