Assassin's Quest by Robin Hobb

3.5

Wow, this book has a dark ending. Poor Fitz. It's a good book, but I didn't enjoy it as much as the other two books in the series--Fitz goes through so many trials and tribulations that it is almost painful to read. And Assassin's Quest just isn't as tightly plotted as its predecessors; for the first two thirds, Fitz wanders about, and the book doesn't really seem to get into gear until the last third.

Edit: on reread, upgraded to a 3.5 because I really got into the last hundred pages of the book, although it did meander quite a bit in the middle.
