So much is wrong with this book I'm not sure where to start. This reads like an early draft of a novel that would require MAJOR revisions to make it readable. Also I'm not sure that the author understands the interplay between 1st person AND unreliable narration? The structural issues aside there is NO evidence the author did any research related to legal and criminal procedures - so many problems. Plus it's boring. The hook is the whodunit which ends up being a trick rather than a twist and otherwise it's just a lot of poorly written dialog and poorly written fist fights. Do not waste your time on this when there are so many better books - try Long Bright River instead.
