I had really high hopes for this book after seeing it so frequently on booktok, but I must say I think it was a good story but nothing great. I loved the characters and the world I was transported to. I loved the intricacies of the story with the main character. However, the love interest aspect I could not get on with, it could have been left out. I think the bullying of the main character, in different aspects, was a little too much for me. The romance felt forced and out of character, I suppose maybe there are plot holes that will be filled in the next books so we’ll have to see. Maybe the main characters ‘romance’ will be redeemed as well..?
