This is more a literary novel that focuses on the characters than it is a mystery or thriller. But I found the underlying mystery to propel the story along nicely. I "enjoyed" learning more about each character and delving into their psyches. I always love alternating narrators and this one included all the major players. I thought it was realistic and didn't provide a sugarcoated happy ending. Would warn that there are some sex scenes throughout the first half that some may not care for. I would read another book by this author
