This is one of those books that I had on my TBR for a while and so I was hyped to read it but now I'm left with "What did I just read?", and not in the good way.

I was interested by the blurb and was very into the story that was unfolding until about 40-50% in the book where it shifted and I was left wondering what happened because it felt messy and become so unbelievable. Not only was it coming across as cliche but it was laughable in the idea that these kids are getting away with all that they are. I know times have changed since my childhood but I can't wrap my head on all of this from the kidnapping, deaths, setups, and just nuance of these characters like IDK.
It's probably why this took me a month to read because I was starting to feel odd about the pacing and back forth POV once Delia was added into the mix.

Junie came across as a flat one-dimension character where as Delia was just selfish and sexually creepy, borderlining a sociopath, Ryan was just there like the rest of the cast that appears. Long enough for a story plot trigger and then we move on.

No character was likeable and I was left with that odd ending which is feeling like the norm which I'm not a fan of. It just comes across as lazy to me which considering how the book snow balled into the ending is appropriate but also just leaves me wondering what I read and it's been hours later. Not my cup of tea and not something I would recommend but oddly enough I've been told by people that they liked this one, so to each their own.
