Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella

1.0

It's just meh to me. I couldn't relate to Becky at all because when I first read this I was 14, broke, and completely uninterested in shopping, (modern) fashion, and luxury/brand-name items. This may be biased of me, but I really can't understand the appeal of very high-end/luxury items. I get hotels and cars, but clothes and accessories? I get that it's important to invest in well-made clothing and accessories, but paying half a million or so for a small leather tote or a pair of pumps?
I also didn't (and still don't) like being financially indebted to someone who's not a close friend or family member. I found Becky very irresponsible and didn't find her funny at all. It's a wonder the LI fell for her...oh, wait. I just called him LI.
