The Corrections by Jonathan Franzen
3.0

I had a hard time getting through the sheer, depressing, loserdom of the the first few chapters. Once I did though, it was rewarding. Franzen's depiction of the eldery couple was masterful, in an almost voyeuristic way. It got really real towards the end, less a comment on a certain class of people and more of a heartbreaking story of relationships. Worth a read for sure, but not going to make me run out and look for more of his stuff.
