Reckless by Elsie Silver

5.0

where do i even start with this book? it holds a very special place in my heart now and forever. and this time, it wasn’t mainly because of the story but more on the characters. as someone who has also been called the bitchy/grumpy/ice queen older sister, i have never felt more seen, felt so connected to a character more i do Winter Hamilton with her internal monologues & points of view

and then we have Theo mf Silva. he is the absolute BLUEPRINT how dare he not be a living, breathing, human being?? i fell for this man the moment he first winked and fell harder with how patient he was with Winter. plus he’s a bull rider, a momma’s boy AND a dog dad, can he be any more perfect?

the character growth was phenomenal, the story flowed so well. there’s playful & funny banter between everyone plus the usual Papa Harvey side comments. this book has so much love in it, but also pain & confrontations. it has beautiful friendship developments & heartwarming family interactions

dare i say, this book has dethroned Heartless as my favorite book, and CadeWilla as my favorite couple in the series

i don’t remember the last time i read a book with a good storyline AND such self aware characters, Elsie Silver’s outdone herself with this one (are we surprised? ofc not!) this woman can genuinely write any trope and she’d OWN IT
