“I exhaled, looked up from my exposed feet, and saw the clouds above me were pink.”
Deeply moving yet lighthearted and hopeful. When I started this book I felt it wasn’t a good fit for me due to the suicide themes, but I could not have been more wrong. After losing my grandfather to suicide in 2017 I have struggled to articulate many of the feelings expressed in this book. This book made me feel seen and understood in ways I didn’t expect, and yes, I too wish to be a rat at a fair 🐀
