I am not a serious lover of science fiction, and it took me the first half of the book to be invested in the plot and characters. However, once the secrets started being revealed, I was engaged. Genuine surprises and a satisfying conclusion. Is it even worth mentioning the terrible cover? Everyone has said it already. But that is because it is really awful.
