A Thousand Reasons by Mariah Dietz

2.0

There's no other way around to say but this one just left me way too unsatisfied.

There is nothing wrong with an author trying their hand at new things and with Mariah Dietz, I'm used to a certain kind of storytelling which was missing in this novel. I'm used to a far more emotionally charged writing where I literally feel my heart thumping as I read word after word and this time, it just wasn't the same, especially in terms of Dietz's writing and her character development, which was another aspect I found lacking.

A Thousand Reasons is a good book, no denying but having read Mariah's previous works this one pales in comparison and honestly, it could use more working on.

It's not a bad book but it can definitely be better.

NOTE:- The side characters in this story have their own book published previously, so if you are the kind of reader who likes to know about such things, here is your heads up.
This is something that really doesn't really bother me much unless and until I'm missing chunks of plot or storyline that goes above my head, which in this case I, personally, didn't find any, except an incident regarding Max, which could have been elaborated on a little.

2.5 Stars!
