The Intersectional Environmentalist: How to Dismantle Systems of Oppression to Protect People + Planet by Leah Thomas
5.0
This book is a wonderful primer on how to approach environmentalism in an intersectional manner, and how to reframe the conversations around different areas of environmentalism (renewable energy, good access, activism, and more). It brings in the wisdom and thoughts of many different BIPOC environmental activists and uplifts their work, demonstrating how to move away from the white-dominated environmentalism in America and the need to uplift, learn about, and center BIPOC perspectives, experiences, and extensive history. A must read!
