In Their Footsteps by Tess Gerritsen

2.0

I wouldn’t really recommend any of Gerritsens older work that isn’t included in her Rizzoli & Isles series. The plot lines are fine and engaging enough but laden with internalized misogyny and boring/unnecessary/cheesy AF romance. Can’t we just have a thriller without a ‘bold yet vulnerable’ heroine that wins the heart of some male protector? The last few I’ve read have been cookie cutter stories with the same gross romance which has really ruined it for me. And I love romance.
