Around My French Table: More Than 300 Recipes from My Home to Yours by Dorie Greenspan

5.0

Words cannot describe how much I adore this cookbook. Reading Around My French Table is like going to your American-expat friend's apartment in one of Paris's more romantic arrondissements and having a cosy chat while preparing food together. It's intimate, oh-so-French yet with an American easygoingness, and really much less intimidating to do than you'd think. The directions are very clear and straightforward, and even the more complicated recipes are very achievable. I make the potage Parmentier from this book on a semi-regular basis and it is absolutely divine. And the tourteau de chèvre recipe alone makes Around My French Table worth buying-one of the most unique and delicious cheesecakes you will ever have. 5 stars and my eternal love.
