I love a good holiday story. I love Tawna Fenske. When you put the two together you get an AMAZING good time.
Jade is trying to get her family's farm into new territory by opening up a Reindeer Ranch. When her sister hires the quintessential high school jock to be their new Santa Claus. Brandon has a past that no one really knows about. After serving several tours in the Middle East, he's decided to come back home and help his family. While he does that, he takes the job as the Jingle Bell Reindeer Ranch's new Santa with abs of steel.
If you were the girl that didn't get noticed in high school or rather got noticed in all the wrong, not fun, picked on mercilessly ways-- then you will understand Jade's hesitation to work with Brandon. She doesn't trust that he's changed from the boy she knew back then.
Or maybe you knew the jock, were the jock.
Either way, Tawna writes a story that is anyone can relate to. Her typical frankness and quirky characters are all there, but this time there was a little something more. A little something extra. It had the fun holiday vibe without being cheesy. It gave you heat and passion but with a little feel of "a twinkle in Santa's eye."
I truly loved everything about this book. Hoping to see more of Brandon's family and Jade's sister. Learn their stories and fall for them too.
