I was really excited about this book in the Chestnut Spring series but it fell short for me. I hate to say it but Jasper carried this book as most grumpy goalies do. He can tell me to crawl for him any day.
I had high hopes for Sloane having some sort of character arc — you’re a runaway bride with tons of money and a stellar ballet career and you still whine like that? I felt like her growth was stunted and could’ve been written better.
Overall, the book was fun and hot. I still love Chestnut Springs and I’m excited for the next one!
