I might be the odd one out here, but this book just was not for me.
First of all, it took getting almost to the 50% mark to even entice me to want to continue reading. I knew going into it that it took awhile to get into. This was definitely not what I was expecting, though.
The story is multiple POV, which is fine. I am normally fine with that. But with this, it just made it all the more confusing. I literally had no idea why Tanè was even involved until towards the end.
There just was not enough action or romance to keep me interested. There were a few semi-comedic moments peppered in, which was good. Overall, though, I just found myself bored and wanting to take a nap
