Scandal's Bride by Stephanie Laurens

5.0

I don't even have the words for this ridiculous and wonderful book. Stephanie Laurens took out all the stops on this one and really played the explicit Regency formula to the utmost degree. My mouth was hanging open in surprise several times at the twists the plot took. All the while, my affection for both Katrina and Richard was very real.

Katrina is used to being in charge of her world in her secluded Vale in rural Scotland. When her guardian passes away, she makes one of her rare trips from the Vale to discover his plans for her future guardianship. Meanwhile Richard Cynster is eager to discover the legacy his mother left to him years ago that's finally being released to him on the death of his mother's husband. Little do these two know how the conditions of the Seamus's will will throw them together.

SpoilerContent Warning: The heroine roofies the hero.
