Everything's Eventual: 14 Dark Tales by Stephen King

4.0

A great collection of short stories and novellas that are mostly very, very good.

I think one of the best things about this collection is the notes at the beginning of each one, a kind of origin story of the story.

We have a ample variety of stories here. Some, like 'Autopsy Room Four' are darkly humorous; others, like ' The Man in the Black Suit'  are very creepy. Some, like 'The Death of Jack Hamilton' are not horror stories, at all, while others deal with a horror of a non-supernatural kind, like 'In the Deathroom'. But all of them are entertaining and engaging.

I particularly enjoyed 'L.T.’s Theory of Pets' but my love for the 'Dark Tower' series placed ' The Little Sisters of Eluria' in a high place, too.

Oh, and '1408'! Because I just have a thing for haunted hotel rooms *laughs*

So yes, a very enjoyable ride for a wide range of King's stories :D
