Scenes from the Hallway by Penny Reid

4.0

This prequel to [b:Marriage of Inconvenience|30242230|Marriage of Inconvenience (Knitting in the City, #7)|Penny Reid|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1471385814s/30242230.jpg|50705812] is a nice little treat. Whether you’ve already read the novel or not, it’s fun to know how Kat and Dan met. The details of what happened between them in Las Vegas puts their relationship status at the beginning of the full-length book more in focus.

The author warns that the novella contains a lot of foul language. Believe me, it does not come anywhere close to the amount Dan curses in Marriage of Inconvenience. That degree of swearing would normally turn me off, but for some reason I find it hilarious and part of Dan’s charm.

This short story is only four chapters long, but it includes the first three chapters of Marriage of Inconvenience which should whet your appetite for the amazingly entertaining book.
