Love Redesigned by Lauren Asher
5.0
⚠️SPOILERS!⚠️
“I never hated you, Dahlia. Not for a single second of a single day.”
If you loved the ‘Dreamland Billionaires’ and have been craving to be back in Lake Wisteria with some of your favorite characters full of banter and laughter, read this.
“I can’t believe you bought a lakefront mansion because I was bored.”
“I’m doing everyone a favor. People get hurt or arrested whenever that happens.”
The spunky interior designer, Dahlia Muñoz has golden skin, wavy brown hair, and a combination of soft and sultry features, making her Julian’s biggest weakness and greatest strength.
“Caring about someone isn’t the end of the world, I tell myself. Except Dahlia isn’t someone. She is so much more.”
Billionaire Julian Lopez has with tan skin, a bump on his nose from the time Dahlia broke it when they were younger, and wears designer clothes to special events to show off his wealth.
“Next time you go down on me, I plan on suffocating you to death.”
“I can’t think of a better way to go.”
Julian and Dahlia developed so much chemistry throughout the book. It started out as denied attraction, and acceptance of lust, and ended with proposals and marriage. Julian and Dahlia, despite growing up together and having history, had to learn the deepest secrets of their love for one other. Dahlia learning about Julian’s pro/con list, seeing his shrine of a room, learning that he bought her dream home in hopes that she would come back to Lake Wisteria and love him enough to move there with him, to just everything in between. Their chemistry is raw, natural, and all of the above.
“I will always fight for what’s in our best interest, even if it means fighting you in the process.”
Julian is the type of person who wanted to beat Dahlia in every game they played. What Dahlia didn’t know was how much love he had for her, when all she thought it was dislike. With her broken engagement being fresh when she returns home to Lake Wisteria, she’s hesitant to give into Julian, and though she eventually does give into the lust, she’s afraid of accepting his love, and even admitting the love that she contained for him. If her ex-fiancé couldn’t accept her for the fact that she couldn’t reproduce, and love her for her, what makes her believe Julian could ever? Julian had to fight tooth and nail for Dahlia’s love, and it was worth every fight.
“Eres la mujer más hermosa de todas.”

Julian Lopez. That is it. That is all. Ugh OMG I had a TIME with this book, OMG I loved it so so so so much. The banter, the cameos, Julian‘s shrine of a room, ugh I adore this book, and will forever think of this book. Lauren did not disappoint, and I cannot wait for the rest of the series. Honestly this might be the top book for this year. I cried. I laughed. I just had so much fun reading this and June 18th, cannot come any sooner.
With Lauren Asher’s books being my automatic purchases because she’s one of my favorite authors, I held the highest expectations for this book. And she. Did. Not. Disappoint. The way I absolutely devoured this book is insane. From the first page, to the last page, I went through all the emotions. The cameos were executed so perfectly, and I couldn’t have imagined a better start to this new series. From the beginning, I knew there was going to be some type of banter (as they’re childhood rivals to lovers), but I didn’t expect the banter to make me laugh as much as it did.
I really did love Julian’s character development; he went from a person who denied all feelings he had for Dahlia and wanting her out of town, to willing to MOVE from Michigan all the way to San Francisco, CA just so he wouldn’t be apart from Dahlia ever again. I can go on and on and ON about THE Julian Lopez. The amount of love he has for that woman is something EVERY woman should get to experience in life. That man loved Dahlia with every fiber in his body and more. And with the parents to be there to help play matchmaker, I loved it.
Now onto Dahlia. She turned into this spunky, confident, and loving character. From dealing with a broken engagement with a man she knew she wasn’t going to end up with, to loving the man who she never thought could have EVER loved her, and for as long as he did, too, she turned into one of my favorite female leads, and I hope she gets everything she’s ever dreamed of, and it appears in the remaining books in this series.
Lauren Asher’s writing is so beautiful, and so easy to follow along with, despite how long her novels are, but they are worth every word, every page. I don’t think I’ll ever stop thinking about Julian and Dahlia, and Love Redesigned as a whole.

“For someone intent on acting like she doesn’t find me attractive, you desperately look like you want to be kissed.”
“You say you’re over her, but your actions say the complete opposite.”
“Will you please help me?”
“I love it when you say please.”
“If you’re going to run your mouth, might as well do it with your lips wrapped around my d—“
“What will I say when Father Anthony asks how I feel about my daughter going to hell for premarital sex?”
“Do me a favor and ask him if the weather is hot all year round so I can plan my outfits accordingly.”
*i voluntarily read and reviewed this book. all thoughts and opinions are my own.*
