We follow Wilder, a boy who goes on a summer vacation with his parents who are fighting more and more and meets Nat and Harper, and they have a whirlwind of a time together.
This is right up my alley. Trauma, bonded friendships broken, mental health, betrayal, creepy, witchy, memories.
I don't usually get so into a book that is plot heavy, but the characters were brought to life so clearly and I was almost enchanted by the story like Wilder was. I felt everything he did when he did.
Then it changed and spiraled and I kind of felt like I was going mad, which feels right for the book. If you aren't okay with being a little confused skip this one. Books within books within books. It's
It's a very altered story and it's wonderfully executed. I feel like I will need multiple reads to fully comprehend the scale of this.
Please read it, the audiobook is amazing as well! I was surprised by how much I got into this. I kept cleaning because I didn't want to stop listening (unheard of).
