Shameless: A Case for Not Feeling Bad About Feeling Good (About Sex) by Nadia Bolz-Weber
4.0
This book was leftover in my library holds from a project about purity culture I did last semester. I wasn't going to read it since I'm not longer working on the project, but ultimately I did. Having been raised in a deeply shame-based religion, this book was a really intense read for me. Although I'd just done an extensive lit review on the topic, very little of that prior reading permeated an information barrier to have a personal effect. Shameless very much did, straddling self-help, cultural criticism, non-fiction, and memoir. Deeply impactful.
