Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee
2.0

This is not a great read. Contrary to popular belief, it is not a sequel to To Kill a Mockingbird. It is basically a first draft of what would become To Kill a Mockingbird. The book was published under a bit of controversy as well. The original manuscript was discovered in Harper Lee’s personal documents nearly 40 years after it was written and might not have been published with her consent. While it wasn’t a great book, it is interesting to see early versions of characters that we’ve become familiar like Atticus Finch. This is probably the only reason I would recommend this book, to see those early versions of the characters we see in To Kill a Mockingbird.
