Starflight was a quick and light read for me. I certainly had lots of laughs and enjoyed each and every one of the characters but as much as I liked the story, I didn't really LOVE it.
There were lots of funny moments. Lots of adventures and even SPACE PIRATES, which I all enjoyed but nothing really stuck out to me or made this book memorable compared to anything else I've read. In fact, I just kind of skimmed the last 30 or so pages because I slowly began to lose interest in the story.
On a positive note though, the characters were my favorite part of the book. I loved the crew's bond and how everyone just looked out for one another. My favorites were definitely Renny, Cassia, and Kane!
There was nothing bad about Starflight overall. It just didn't awe me. I may or may not read the sequel but let's see when the time comes! I'm still really interested in finding out what happens to our characters.
