The Rom-Com Agenda by Jayne Denker

3.0

The Rom-Com Agenda is filled with your typical romance tropes, friends to lovers and found family are the biggest two. When Eli is dumped by his girlfriend or four months that he is sure he is in love with so that she can go on sabbatical to Rome, his friends and sister start a makeover on him to get him ready to win Victoria back. Along the way, Leah gets pulled into the makeover agenda and ends up falling for Eli. After what feels like forever, Eli finally comes to his senses and realizes what he’s been really looking for has been standing right in front of him the whole time.

I really liked the idea behind this story and enjoyed it for the most part, but there were parts, especially the beginning the were really slow for me. I liked the characters and the family feel that all of the friends had and that made the story inviting, but I really wished Eli wouldn’t have been as obsessed with Victoria for so long and come to his senses earlier. Overall this was a good romance with entertaining characters, but there were pets that were slow for me. If you are a romance fan and this storyline sounds interesting to you, this is worth giving a shot.
