On Tyranny: Twenty Lessons from the Twentieth Century by Timothy Snyder

5.0

This was a potent but beautiful non fiction exploration of tyranny past and present. Examining the rise of powerful dictators and putting the responsibility back upon the 'innocent' bystander.

I appreciated his honesty, his call to be educated and to learn from the 'informing past, and his constant reflection on books (both Orwell, Bradbury, as well as Rowling and contemporary authors.)

Definitely a 5 star.
