Please know that while this book is warm and we get to see our main character grow and heal, that this story centers around a woman who experienced horrific trauma and neglect as a child and is now an adult living in relative social isolation. This is not the “quirky” book some of the blurbs claim this to be. While I truly loved reading this book and would recommend it, I would please ask anyone who is going to pick this book up read the content warnings first to ensure that you are in the space to read about someone healing from all that Eleanor has experienced.
