Don't Call Me Ishmael by Michael Gerard Bauer

4.0

This was a reread waiting around 8 years! I had a really good time, it was nice going through memory lane. The book has a lot of heart, and the prose is like a fun circus act of zippy metaphors that leant the book a very strong voice. While the book has some structural issues and suffers from being a bit blokey at times, the book has such iconic scenes that stuck with me it was really exciting revisiting them again.
