I came in expecting, even wanting, to hate this obvious money grab. The intricate character design and puzzle elements of the first trilogy had been waning over the last couple of books. The collection of short stories foreshadowed more of the same, and the book opens with my least favorite tale, Avery and Jameson having a heated relationship that hovers around PG-11. However, the other sections were much more fun, exploring relationships in such a better format. Maybe I just don’t like Avery as a narrator
