Gorgeous. Science Fiction survival story with a dash of romance and intrigue!
16 year old Lilac, daughter of the richest man in the known world, is shocked when the 18 year old war hero Tarver approaches her as if he doesn't know who she is. They flirt but then she has to shut it down; she knows what may happen if she doesn't. But then, their huge spaceship, The Icarus, gets sucked out of hyperspace. When Tarver and Lilac appear to be the only two survivors on the increasingly strange planet nearby it takes all their courage and untapped resources to survive the environment, their emotions, and the odd whisperings around them...
This was delightfully crafted, well-paced, and stars two VERY wonderful characters who grow, evolve, fall in love and bring the reader along with them. Definitely recommend to those who enjoyed The Knife of Never Letting Go but who wanted a slightly older characters to read about and an equally intriguing mysterious planet to discover!
