GODDD i don't know what it is but battle of the labyrinth just hit so hard this time round... i think it may truly be my fav in the pjo series. it raises the stakes compared to the other books (
particularly with kronos literally rising at the end and the breakout of war
), rachel and nico (!!!!) are brought back and expanded upon, PERCABETH EXPANDED UPON YUPPP, also just a deeper exploration of percy's powers (
blowing up mt st helens and the calypso chapter... love love love
). there is so much to love about this book, honestly down to the idea of the labyrinth and daedalus like it's just so interesting and similar to sea of monsters i think this book is one of the more complex in the series (
grover's dedication to pan, annabeth trying to reconcile her love of luke with his dedication to kronos, percy's questioning of his role as poseidon's son and antaeus's sacrifices, nicos growth in accepting biancas death
).  i need to stop i think. i just love this book a lot. ok
