Though hesitant about a new MC, I was pleasantly surprised by this book! Unlike its sprawling predecessors, it offered a focused and heartfelt narrative about changelings—but not from the usual human perspective.
Seeing things through the fairies' eyes, especially as someone who works with neurodivergent children, was a breath of fresh air. My heart ached for them, and I truly hope this streamlined novel leads to a satisfying series conclusion. While it feels like only half the story, it's a compelling half!
