The Infinity Courts by Akemi Dawn Bowman
5.0

4.75 stars, deduction only for the somewhat pedantic tone at times and the overly lush descriptions.

The best way I could summarize this book is like Ready Player One meets ACOTAR, but for a slightly younger age group.

This book is slow to start and has the typical YA trope of spending a lot of time describing food and clothing, but once this story got going, I could not stop and cant stop thinking about it.

There are a few sections too that are very clearly meant to be very overtly conveying the theme, but the ending basically makes you question all of it and reaffirms it at the same time. There is a quest to find the grey areas in morality, but the book seems to question if even finding those grey areas does anyone any good in the long run.

And yall, THAT ENDING. I have no money for books but I'm buying the sequel anyway. What a great book.
